Placated though she might have been by Thor's clarification, Rogue was still running on irritated. There was a perfectly good table smashed to bits, along with strings of multicolored lights and Christmas decorations. And Loki was bleeding.
"He is standin' right there," Rogue said, pointing in Loki's direction while looking at Thor. "Ask him."
The fact that several times already in this conversation Thor had been talking to her as if Loki wasn't even there was another source of irritation. Perhaps she didn't fully understand the scope of Thor's promise to leave Loki alone.
...There was something about the way that Thor was looking at her right now, though, that tugged at her even in the middle of her irritation - he seemed so genuinely perplexed and almost hopeful. It was strange.
