Finally, after years of repeated separation and reunion, Jane and Thor were together at a time peaceful enough to allow them to act like a typical couple. Jane could barely contain her excitement. She spent days deciding on the perfect outfit to wear. Rogue had helped her search through the store, and she'd settled on a rather daring knee-length backless dress that showed off her figure - and her wings. It was a deep shade of golden yellow that reminded her of his hair and accented the lighter flecks in her brown eyes.

She applied a minimal amount of makeup and put her hair in a half up-do. It was illogical for her to be so nervous and yet she couldn't stop the butterflies in her stomach from doing cartwheels. She already knew him. She already loved him. And yet a first date was a first date, regardless of the circumstances.

She waited for him outside of the Flame Building as they'd agreed. She'd let him decide on the details of where they would go and what they would do. She'd picked the date and time and told him to be there or be square. Then she'd had to explain what that meant.
