Loki had taken Vakri out for his daily ride when he heard the noise. It was like a wounded bilgesnipe crashing through the underbrush, but significantly less pleasant. Loki recognized the sound instantly.
Ugh. Him. Again.
Only this time, Loki only really found annoyance in his heart. It had been over half a year since he'd last seen that idiot Thor, and things had changed a great deal. Loki had a family now, of sorts, and a certain amount of confidence that they would not abandon him. He had a lover who wanted him for himself. To Hel with Thor, really.
Loki dismounted and bid Vakri to stay, well out of sight of where Thor was wandering and shouting. Then he approached quite invisible.
He wasn't stupid, though. He made an illusion of himself and let that talk to Thor.
Hello, brother

"Oh," he said. "It's you. Again."
