...oh man. What if this was a completely different Thor? Loki's response would probably be the same, but...

Ugh, and how would she even answer that question? She never felt ashamed of their association, and she believed what she'd done had been right, but that didn't make the disgust and distrust and general immediate drop in the esteem of anyone who knew of Loki any easier to bear, especially when she was so used to dealing with it from the people that actually mattered to her. As a mutant, Rogue was accustomed to being misjudged and scorned, but that only made her want this one particular thing to be judged on its own merits. She wasn't crazy, she wasn't untrustworthy, she hadn't compromised her morals just because she'd fallen in love with someone who had done a lot of terrible things and had yet to really realize why they were terrible.
