You may find more information asking those who participate in missions regularly and with people who work on the tunnels, can't say much about that, I don't go there but you can access them through the fountain last I checked. A word of warning though, whatever you do, don't use the journals to talk about those things. The Malnosso monitor them, or at least may listen in on them even if you make a private message, so if you want real information about the missions, the war and the general investigations about this place, go for face to face conversations.
