[One moment he had been standing amongst his brothers (and sister) in arms, Tesseract held in a shielded sheath meant to make the passage home simpler. Safer. The day was bright, the battle won, justice to be meted out by his father and while all was not entirely well with the world it was, for a moment, as close as it might come until his family was once again in the fold.

A twist of the wrist, a blinding flare of blue-

And he wakes bereft of his armor, without the Tesseract, and without his brother.]

Loki-

[He surges to his feet, stumbling, teeth grit and braced for battle. No other being could wrest magic in such a way to transport him somewhere aside from Asgaurd- for this is certainly not his home.]

LOKI! [A beat, and then-] Hammer?

[He extends his fist and his will, waiting for Mjolnir to fly to him- but he senses it not. He is without armor and he is unarmed. It makes for a frustrated, puzzled Thor that tromps through the woods, searching for the Tesseract, his brother, and his armor. At odd intervals he calls out either for his brother, or, in a fit of frustration, his hammer. Neither answer.]

[Action: Open]

[After that...enlightening and less than entertaining discussion with his brother, Thor resumes his wanderings, seeking out the village of which Loki spoke. He is as he was when he arrived, save that he is entirely devoid of clothing.

Thank you, brother.

He shall wander until he finds the village, and wander further still until he finds somewhere to clothe himself. When he finds not a single pair of trousers that would fit him left and a pinned note to a truly hideous gown. All the dresses or feminine clothing that might fit him yet remains.

Thank you so, so much, brother.

Later still he sits, wrapped in a toga formed of a bedsheet, picking at a long since emptied plate in Seventh Heaven]

Should any find trousers sufficient enough to clothe an Asgardian I would be most greateful to have them. I might be found at the Tavern of Seven Heavens, feasting on their hot dogs, which they have assured me are not actually made of hounds.

Large, larger than that of the average Midgardian. I fear my brother has taken all that might have suited my purpose and hidden them.

That explains why you wouldn't find clothes that fit. I've two types of larger sizes than the average Midgardian, want anything else while I'm in the delivery mood?

[Both Smoker and Ikki fall on the big and large size of humans, so their clothes would probably fit, depends on how crazy muscular the guy is.]

I would be most grateful for a coat and boots if you might find them as well. State how I might repay your kindness and I shall see it done, so long as it is in my power.

Finding them won't be a problem, at least not ones that match in size with the trousers though if those don't fit you then you're going to have a really hard time getting clothes of your size. I haven't seen many guys larger than me or my friend.

[He snorts at the mention of repayment.]

Let's leave it as if I'm ever in need of trousers myself, you will help me then.

Should you be unable to find something sufficient I will simply have to continue with the garb I've created- at least until I find a tailor that might create something for me.

[He pauses a moment to take a long gulp of something called a coke.]

Until then I am in your debt, good sir.

Let's see first if this fits you, otherwise there will be hardly any debt.

[And with that he will make his way to the Seventh Heaven, carrying two sets of clothes, one of his and one of Smoker's which are larger and bulkier. Luckily it won't be hard to locate the man asking for clothes, not many people wander around in togas in the middle of November after all.]

Togas are really not the Asgardian look, you should leave that to Greek people. If you're done eating, I've brought you clothes.

[He will hand him the set of clothes that belongs to him, now that he can see the guy, he is closer in height and muscle mass to him than to Smoker.]

[At the time of the generous man's arrival Thor has consumed several plates of hot dogs and has started in on the platter of ham burgers; though like the hot dogs the name seems to be somewhat deceiving. There is no ham, or if there is it is not well cured.]

I know little of the Greeks but they had an unusual sense of what is right and manful by way of attire. [He takes another drought of the cola and wipes his hands clean on one of the cloths left for that purpose.] You've my thanks, friend.

Greeks had unusual senses regarding many things, clothing was the lesser of their problems.

[And he could make a long list about those. He gives the other a quizzical look before he speaks again.]

So you're an Asgardian, can't say I've been there though I know about it. Are you... Odin? A young Odin. Or maybe Thor.

[This place sure likes to bring in deities anyway. Still Ikki's glad that so far it's showing absolutely no interest in bringing any of the deities he knows personally.]

Ah, I am not so grand a warrior as to resemble my father, but I am flattered by the thought. You are correct in that I am Thor. And you are?

[He stands once his hands are clean, offering the man his large hand to clasp.]

Phoenix Ikki, just a soldier serving the Greek goddess Athena. At least in theory.

[He can't do much serving being stuck here without her. And even when he was with her the extent of his servitude could be debated at best. Ikki's not one to show much respect for anyone, god or human unless he considers they have earned it, but handshakes are something he can do so he clasps Thor's hand easily.]

Well met, though I would prefer if we hadn't met. If only because it would mean we wouldn't be stuck here.

[Or at least meet in other circumstances though as far as he knows the Nordic deities delegated their rule centuries ago and were meant to only return if a pressing need arose. Or something like that, the same was supposed to be true for Greek deities, and that didn't go well.]

Is it Phoenix or Ikki that you prefer to be called?

[The first he is familiar with, the second? Not near as much. And as much as he has come to learn of Midgard and it's practices he must confess that the name Athena means little to him. Perhaps hie might ask after her in whatever serves as a library in this village.]

As should I have preferred our meeting to have happened under different circumstances. But as this is how we have met I am glad for it all the same.

If Phoenix is more familiar to you just go with that. Most people here seem to call me Ikki, but I have no preference, and I'm used to both being used equally.

[He's not the type to make a fuss about how people call him and there are more people who actually answer to both names as well so there's little way to avoid confusion.]

Has anyone debriefed you on this place?

[His mood plucks up all the more, bolstered by the company of a valiant man, who else would fight under the blessing of a goddess but one both skilled and noble?]

I have read some of what this place is, but I must confess I was distracted from further study by my lack of proper attire. Anything you might have to share would be of great help to me.

[He won't say it but somewhere inside of him his own mood plucks up. He never had special pride on his position, hard to when it was forced into him with lies and traps, but after years of being away from it, of having just himself and his armor to remind himself of who he really is rather than this domestic villager he's forced to be... It feels good to hear someone call him Phoenix, even more so when acknowledging his position as a warrior.]

Indeed, maybe if you had been luckier and arrived during the summer season the toga wouldn't have distracted you so. Doesn't matter, there's a lot to say about this place, but most of it can be read on the journals at your leisure whenever you get settled.

What exactly do you know about this place?

[It's a minor annoyance, but one he would prefer to avoid, finding oneself repeating things the other already knows.]

I know of the impenetrable barrier, that the wings are vital to our health, that our power is halved, and that time comes to a standstill wherever we are from and we might be returned without notice, only to be pulled back again from a later time or not at all- that there is an organization called the Malnosso but not much else of them.

[Concerns of a tactician, predominantly.]

I think there may have been talk of factions within them but little else.

Not bad, there's not much more to add besides details. The part about being sent back to your world and pulled back again is true, but there's the twist that sometimes you return here with no memories of having been here, even if you come from a later point in time. You may also end being pulled back here from an earlier time than before, again with no memories of being here.

On the power part, that only holds true so long as you remain on the enclosure, if you're out of the barrier your power is at normal, the wings remain though. And in case you weren't before, you're definitively mortal here even if it's only by getting the wings ripped off. Everyone returns after a week more or less though.

And from time to time it's possible that you will find yourself or those around you losing their minds, bodies and other "fun" stuff. Always temporal but annoying nonetheless.

[At least it's not as regular as it was before.]

[Thor sits back from where he'd leaned forward to listen intently- it is not often he gives himself leave to study but this is information vital to his stay in the village. Perhaps even to his survival. Marking this man's words well would be more than warranted. To absorb he must take a moment to consider all that it implies.

That they are held against their will and tested upon, he had hoped that not to be true. And yet...]

My thanks, Warrior Phoenix. You have helped me make greater sense of that which confounded me and for that, and the clothing, I am most grateful.

[It has been years since Ikki arrived, but it's hard to forget how important it is on the first hours and days to memorize the information given to when one first arrives. He says nothing as Thor thinks, letting the other mull and digest the information.]

That which confounded you... I take that you have been treated as if you were here before? Or that your brother said something about being here for a while?

To my mind I have never been here, and my brother should not be quite so well. The man here is somewhat strange to me but-

[He shakes his head, leaving that topic for another time.]

It fits, now, that he should have said I was here once before, and that I have met someone that much resembled a woman I care for.

It seems that this place can pull in people from any world, time and dimension so it's not surprising that you may end meeting someone who resembles people you know without being really the ones you know.

I must seriously warn you, this place can be a worthy and difficult challenge to your physical strength, specially if you go on missions or get drafted. But the biggest toll will be on your own mind, if you are so unlucky to stay here for long enough, meeting people who wear faces familiar to you but aren't the ones you care for will be something you will find even desirable.

[Though no matter how much warning he gives, Luceti always manages to surprise.]

Regarding the factions within the Malnosso, that is true as well, they seem to be a big organization but not all of them seem to agree on things. There is a group that has a particular hobby of kidnapping people and experimenting on them privately. There are ways to avoid them, but it's a constant possibility and even if you aren't kidnapped others around you may be so and you may still end having to deal with the results of their experiments.

[His expression shutters somewhat, turning to something graver still. Trials of the body he has endured in one way or another for the bulk of his life, either self imposed or circumstantial but those of the mind? He did not know how well he might endure those. Not that he thought himself weak but simply unaccustomed to such torments. One of the wisest and most clever men he knew could not withstand such trials and fell into madness and ruin. How well could he possibly fair if Loki had not been able to do so?

But here, in this place, his brother seems to have settled. Flourished. Perhaps it is not so dire as all that.]

My thanks for the warning. I know not how I might take watching others taken against their will but...knowing ahead of time will make the wounds sting less.

At the very least it should help with pointless guilt. You will probably end having a lot of that unless you are lucky and leave this place back to where you came from within the next days.

Ironically the Malnosso aren't the biggest threat as of now, they don't want our lives after all. There's another group, currently at war with the Malnosso, who are set on killing everything and everyone. Permanently.

[War, now. War and battle he knows well. Was born and raised to wade into and bring the greater glory to his allies. In battle he might be able to protect others and defend those he has come to care for, to take his claimed place as a protector of Midgard. This is none of the Realms of which he knows but his claim still stands.

It should not be so much of a relief to hear that there is something he might be able to do, here.]

What of them? Are the warriors of this Village familiar with how they fight, their plans, their tactics? What might you tell me of them?

They are, some of the people here have faced them countless times already on different missions. From their tactics to the roles they usually have, I'm sure they can tell you everything you need. I've faced them as well, but less times and none of them recently so my information on them may be outdated. The war moves fast, and the Third Party is growing strong, what remains true is that it's not just with their fists and weapons that they fight. Some of them are capable of performing "shifts" which is the name the Malnosso give to their experimentations, they can render you powerless or alter your mind, make you fight ghosts or not realize where you are while their warriors hand you the killing blow.

[Pause.]

It's said that we are losing the war. Or at least that things are far worse than the Malnosso want us to think. For details on all that you can check the journals and talk with some of the people who go to missions frequently.

And if you want some first hand experience before going on a mission or to a draft, maybe the Battle Dome has a simulation of their soldiers.

[Once again he sits back, arms crossed, one fist pressed to his mouth as he allows this to wash over him. He had been here once before. Fought these foes- and yet the war continued. The battle is being lost. He shall have to speak in depth with the good Captain and Man of Iron when he finds them, if they truly reside here.

They have been here longer, they would know better what ought to be done.]
