Verse One [Action/Voice]

[Action: Locked to Loki]

[One moment he had been standing amongst his brothers (and sister) in arms, Tesseract held in a shielded sheath meant to make the passage home simpler. Safer. The day was bright, the battle won, justice to be meted out by his father and while all was not entirely well with the world it was, for a moment, as close as it might come until his family was once again in the fold.

A twist of the wrist, a blinding flare of blue-

And he wakes bereft of his armor, without the Tesseract, and without his brother.]

Loki-

[He surges to his feet, stumbling, teeth grit and braced for battle. No other being could wrest magic in such a way to transport him somewhere aside from Asgaurd- for this is certainly not his home.]

LOKI! [A beat, and then-] Hammer?

[He extends his fist and his will, waiting for Mjolnir to fly to him- but he senses it not. He is without armor and he is unarmed. It makes for a frustrated, puzzled Thor that tromps through the woods, searching for the Tesseract, his brother, and his armor. At odd intervals he calls out either for his brother, or, in a fit of frustration, his hammer. Neither answer.]

[Action: Open]

[After that...enlightening and less than entertaining discussion with his brother, Thor resumes his wanderings, seeking out the village of which Loki spoke. He is as he was when he arrived, save that he is entirely devoid of clothing.

Thank you, brother.

He shall wander until he finds the village, and wander further still until he finds somewhere to clothe himself. When he finds not a single pair of trousers that would fit him left and a pinned note to a truly hideous gown. All the dresses or feminine clothing that might fit him yet remains.

Thank you so, so much, brother.

Later still he sits, wrapped in a toga formed of a bedsheet, picking at a long since emptied plate in Seventh Heaven]

Should any find trousers sufficient enough to clothe an Asgardian I would be most greateful to have them. I might be found at the Tavern of Seven Heavens, feasting on their hot dogs, which they have assured me are not actually made of hounds.

[And it's only then that Bulla remembers that some people come from worlds that aren't either parallels of Earth or very similar to it.]

I don't know what Midgardian means but it's this little device that has a part for speaking into and another part that you put up to your ear to listen to. You can talk over long distances...like to someone on the other side of the world, using a phone.

That's right. Well, some of them anyway. Some have a slightly more curved shape to them and are a little bigger, if they're a home phone rather than a cell phone. A cell phone is designed for travel, so it's more important for it to be smaller.

Oh, yeah. Some cell phones have a camera built in. The journals are a little like that, too.

[Bulla pulls hers out from a big pocket in her coat.]

Here, I'll show you.

Okay, so even though there's a proper way to turn it on, like so...

[Bulla demonstrates the video function first, showing how to turn it on.]

...it's actually super-easy to accidentally turn on your journal and send out a message you don't mean to. Usually if it gets knocked over or bumped open. I recommend closing it when you're not using it.

That's right. Or if you write in the journal, it sends out a message to everyone who has one and they can send replies back. Way faster than writing and mailing letters.

[She can explain filtering at another point. That takes some practice with the journal system to get.]

I usually use it for video discussions. I prefer the idea of talking face to face with people, even if it's over the journals instead.

[It's a feature that's handy during bad weather, when she doesn't want to go out to see people.]

You can also use it to contact people you know that have one personally. It's good for making plans to see them later.

Yeah...you have to know that they're here have a journal, but you can send a person a private message. Or at least it's more private than just sending it over the whole journal system.

[The Malnosso are probably monitoring it, though.]

Like, super private discussions should always be in person just in case, but you can send someone a message ahead of time asking if they're available.

You might find it useful if you're trying to determine if a friend of yours is home. You can contact them on the journal first, and then go visit. Then you don't have to walk all the way over there only to find out they weren't home after all.

Well, you're a lot taller than my dad, but his shoulders are broad enough that one of his shirts might fit you. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you borrowed one.

[Pants were another story, but a shirt was better than nothing.]

All right. Best of luck, then. If you need to know anything about this place, my name's Bulla. You can send me a journal message and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
