"I know, I just had to ask one more time." Hearing her own voice out of Thor's book was something she wasn't sure she would ever get used to. But she knew that it was easier for him to communicate that way, so she didn't complain.
"Steve should be here soon," she said even though Thor already knew that. She was having trouble thinking of things to say that weren't the equivalent of 'goodbye'.

Sif stretched and curled upon Thor's shoulder after the brief attempt at play, content to doze with the affection granted her. Thor reached out to curl his hand around Jane's, pulling it to his lips so he might press a kiss to her knuckles.
"Stay safe, my Jane."

"I will. I promise," she replied to the kiss of her hand. She would never get tired of how so simple a gesture could make her insides quiver like gelatin. And, as it had done the first time, the kiss prompted her to move closer and kiss his lips, her hand slipping from his grip to gingerly touch his cheek.

"Maybe I'll find a souvenir I can bring back for you." Steve had mentioned something of the sort. She couldn't imagine what there might be to find that she would be allowed to keep, but it was a nice idea anyhow.
