"Write me if you are able?" Hearing his patterns of speech spoken in Jane's voice would never cease to amuse him- something so stilted and formal never seemed as such until it was a voice that never spoke in such a way doing so. He would have to loosen a bit, perhaps, until he had his voice back.

Sif stretched and curled upon Thor's shoulder after the brief attempt at play, content to doze with the affection granted her. Thor reached out to curl his hand around Jane's, pulling it to his lips so he might press a kiss to her knuckles.

"Stay safe, my Jane."

She nodded. "Of course." She had her journal in her backpack, along with other items she thought she might need, like her toothbrush, hairbrush and some changes of clothes.

"I will. I promise," she replied to the kiss of her hand. She would never get tired of how so simple a gesture could make her insides quiver like gelatin. And, as it had done the first time, the kiss prompted her to move closer and kiss his lips, her hand slipping from his grip to gingerly touch his cheek.

"I love you."

"And I you, my most gracious lady." He wrote in reply before setting the enchanted book aside to reach for her properly. Forehead to forehead he took a moment simply to bask in the fragile warmth of what they shared before he pressed his lips to hers a third time, large fingers curled in her hair.

Many a maid he has kissed, and a few he may have even loved, but none were near so precious to him as this Lady Foster.

Not wanting to displace a snoozing Sif, Jane wrapped her arms around Thor's waist, hugging him tightly as they shared a longer, tender kiss. He was not making it easy to leave. She heard the sound of the shuttle to Pagoda arriving behind her and groaned internally. She nuzzled her nose against his and stayed close, eyes shut, fingers tangled in the back of his shirt.

"Maybe when I get back we can finally have that date," she said softly. Having something to look forward to, that would help the time go more quickly - or so she hoped.

"I would like nothing more." Finally some time to spend as the midgardians do, dining with his beloved. Perhaps he might prepare poetry for her while she was away. "Return safe to me, Jane, and take care while you are away?"

She smiled and nodded and twirled a lock of his hair around her index finger.

"Maybe I'll find a souvenir I can bring back for you." Steve had mentioned something of the sort. She couldn't imagine what there might be to find that she would be allowed to keep, but it was a nice idea anyhow.

"I'll try to write to you as soon as we're settled."
